YORKIE TALKIES OUTDOORS TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Once Yorkie Talkies Outdoors have agreed to take a booking from a customer, the customer is entering into a contract with Yorkie Talkies Outdoors & payment is required at the time of booking

​2. Under 18's must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian throughout the event to be able to participate.

​

​3. All day or night events are non-refundable, non-transferable – this does not include overnight trips they are sperate as per below

​

​4. You cannot resell or transfer your ticket this is due to the individual must have booked on themselves and clicked the consent form and T&Cs on the website

​

5.Payment Plans - when agreeing a payment plan with Emma Shipley (trading as Yorkie Talkies Outdoors) you enter a contract, and you are required to pay this. If you decide to cancel you are still required to make any remaining payments inline with cancellation policy

​

​6. York Social events are Non-refundable/non-transferable at the time of booking

​

​7. Any credits you get for events that you cancel will only be held for 8 weeks and after that will be cancelled

​

8. Any bookings made with block bookings offer are non refundable and non transferable

​

​9. Gift Vouchers are non- refundable

​

10. In the event that Yorkie Talkies Outdoors must cancel an event before the intended event date you will receive a full refund / credit for the event fee. We will always seek a viable alternative if possible. We will not be held responsible for other losses (Accommodation, fuel costs, food etc) occurred due to the cancellation of the event.

11. Yorkie Talkies Outdoors reserves the right to vary walks or events from the specification set out in the event information. This is most likely to be a weather dependent action. We will aim to keep an event as true to the booking as possible.

12. All bookings are made on the basis that customers will observe the safety instructions provided Yorkie Talkies Outdoors. To ignore these instructions, you do so at your own risk. The word of the instructor/ leader/ guide is final.

13. Yorkie Talkies Outdoors reserves the right to exclude customers from an event if they are not adequately prepared , not fit enough or their actions will jeopardise their own, other customer's or the instructor's safety. We also reserve the right to exclude a customer if their attitude is aggressive or offensive. If you leave an event part way through and you and the guide are happy with the action, then the guide's duty of care over you ends there.

 

14. Yorkie Talkies Outdoors accepts no responsibility for customers' personal property that may be lost or damaged during the event. This includes property left in the leader's car during an event.

15. In the case where the organiser is not participating in the event, it is the organisers responsibility to pass on all information to the participants (Kit List, Terms and Conditions, Event information)

​

16. Yorkie Talkies Outdoors is not responsible for ensuring you arrive at the designated event meet point on time and at the correct location

​

17. By completing the booking you consent to your contact information being held by us. This information will not be passed on to third parties. Your information, and that of your emergency contact will however be passed on to the appropriate Leader on the day of the event. Yorkie Talkies Outdoors will use your personal information to keep in touch by newsletter and email if you have provided us consent to do so.

18. By completing a booking, you consent to Yorkie Talkies Outdoors using any media (including photographs and/or video footage) made of you during the event which may or may not encompass intellectual property rights belonging to you and that these images may be used by Yorkie Talkies Outdoors for publicity and training purposes including, but not limited to, websites, marketing material and in the media. If you do not wish for your image to be used you must inform Yorkie Talkies Outdoors before the event.

19. By confirming a booking, you are agreeing to the above Terms and Conditions.

UK Trips Away  (include accommodation, other activities) Holidays/Weekend Breaks

​Where the place is re-sold by Yorkie Talkies Outdoors prior to the commencement date of the activity – the refund will be lesser of the non-refundable deposit of £150

Where the place is unable to be re-sold by Yorkie Talkies Outdoors prior to the commencement date of the activity and the cancellation is:

  • more than 12 weeks prior to the commencement date of the activity – the greater of the non-refundable deposit of £150 or 25% of the fee

  • at 12 weeks or less prior to the commencement date of the activity – 75% of the total fee

  • at 8 weeks or less prior to the commencement date of the activity – 100% of the fee.

 

Deposits on any event are non refundable.

Any refunds due, after deduction of cancellation costs, will be made within 15 working days of Yorkie Talkies Outdoors acknowledging the cancellation.

​

For all activities, clients are advised to take out travel and / or personal insurance that covers them for the course activities they will be undertaking. These insurance policies will usually include cover for cancellation, curtailment, loss or damage to personal property and equipment, personal accident, and personal liability. It is a client’s responsibility to ensure they are adequately insured.

​
